“I am delighted to learn that Banking Almanac: Banks and Financial Institutions of Bangladesh 2016 is going to published for the first time in Bangladesh. This fills a long existing void and information gap in our fast developing nation.
The banking industry comprising of commercial and specialized banks and non-bank financial institutions is flourishing and expanding fast, and contributing strongly to the economic development of the country. However, the information relating to products and services offered by the banking industry were not, hitherto, available in a consolidated and comparative form. Against this backdrop, publication of the Banking Almanac is a milestone and will usher in many more editions in the future.
